Palm Beach County, FL— The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County (DOH-Palm Beach) is working closely with community partners, especially the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, to fulfill a large waitlist of individuals 65 years and older who have requested an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Since December 29, 2020, DOH-Palm Beach has received more than 200,000 requests for vaccine appointments. As these appointment requests are received, staff at DOH-Palm Beach and community partners are scheduling appointments as quickly as possible as, based on vaccine availability. Due to the large current waitlist, as of 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, DOH-Palm Beach will deactivate the chd50feedback@flhealth.gov email address and focus on scheduling these requests.

After all these requests have been fulfilled, future appointments will be made available directly through vaccination sites, and details for these registration systems will be provided at a later date. Additionally, today, Governor DeSantis announced that 67 Publix locations in Palm Beach County will become vaccination sites.
