HEALTH OFFICIALS IN PALM BEACH COUNTY LIFT ALERT FOR BACTERIAL CONTAMINATION IN THE BOYNTON BEACH INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY

Palm Beach County, FL – The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County has lifted the Health Advisory for the Boynton Beach Intracoastal Waterway. Recent coordinated laboratory testing with the City of Boynton Beach and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection has concluded that water again meets surface water quality standards for fecal-indicator bacteria confirming the public may resume water-related activities.
The original public health alert was issued on July 7th, 2023 for the Boynton Beach Intracoastal Waterway due to a wastewater spill.
