Environmental Public Health
The Department handles and responds to sewage related spills and complaints associated with actual releases into the environment. This includes broken septic tanks, overflowing septic tanks and drain fields (Water or Odors), overflowing sewers, plant upsets, and broken sewer mains.

The Department does not respond to internal plumbing problems associated with clogged systems requiring actions by the home owner, landlord or association.
