Child Care Advisory Council (CCAC) Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 9 a.m. Persons wishing to address the Council shall complete a comments sheet and submit this to the Secretary or Florida Department of Health representative no later than 9:45 a.m. during this meeting, or email PBChildcare@FLHealth.gov

Persons wishing to have items placed on the agenda shall contact DOH-Palm Beach at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of the meeting at which the items are to be heard.

Person(s) needing special accommodations to attend this meeting, should contact the CCAC Secretary at 561-837-5900 at least seven (7) days in advance of the CCAC meeting, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

CCAC Composition

In accordance with Chapter 59-1698, Special Acts, Laws of Florida, as amended, the Palm Beach Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the Child Care Facilities Board, appointed a Child Care Advisory Council.

The Council is composed of seven members consisting of the following:

  1. Two members who represent and operate as a private enterprise a facility regulated hereunder; one of whom operates a family child care home or a large family child care home (Seats 1 and 2, respectively).
  2. One member who represents and operates a parochial facility regulated hereunder (Seat 3).
  3. One member who represents a consumer protection enforcement official (Seat 4).
  4. One member for fire protection, engineering, or technology (Seat 5).
  5. One member who at the time of appointment was a parent of a child in a facility regulated hereunder (Seat 6).
  6. One member who represents the Department of Children and Families (Seat 7).
