DOH-Palm Beach is lifting the advisory for bacterial contamination in Camino Real connected to the Intracoastal Waterway, just northwest of the Boca Raton Resort (Lake Boca).
Tests completed on Monday, September 21, indicate that the water quality at Ocean Inlet Park, Boynton Beach, and Dubois Park does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

Follow-up water samples of Lake Okeechobee LZ40, L007, and L006 did not detect algae toxins, indicating the public may resume water-related activities.
Due to a recent wastewater spill into Camino Real connected to the Intracoastal Waterway, just Northwest of the Boca Raton Resort, DOH-Palm Beach is issuing a health alert, no swim advisory, and no irrigation from these waterways to residents and visitors near the area. Drinking water is not affected.
