According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 88 million American adults have prediabetes, but only about 9 million of those adults are aware of it. The National Diabetes Prevention Program was established in partnership with public and private entities to address this health crisis by providing an evidence-based, structured lifestyle change program that can decrease people’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58%.

The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County (DOH-Palm Beach) is one of these entities that offers the Diabetes Prevention Program. The year-long program is offered on Thursday evenings from 5:30- 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in participating in this program, please complete the Registration Form and the Prediabetes Risk Assessment Form.
