Palm Beach County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County (DOH-Palm Beach County) has issued a water quality advisory for the following locations: 

Spanish River
3301 N. State Road A-1-A
Boca Raton, Florida 33431

South Inlet Park
1100 S. Ocean Blvd.
Boca Raton, Florida 33432

Tests completed on Monday, May 13, 2024, indicate that the water qualities at Spanish River in Boca Raton, FL and South Inlet Park in Boca Raton, FL does not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

DOH-Palm Beach County advises against any water-related activities at this location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. Sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines.

This advisory will continue until bacteria levels are below the accepted health level. Test results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches.
